Richmond 2015 – Elite Men’s Road Race

The final day of the Richmond 2015 World Championships brought with it the highlight of the week of racing – the elite men’s battle for the coveted rainbow jersey. And the racing, crowd, and atmosphere didn’t disappoint! Peter Sagan took his first world championship in thrilling style, outclimbing an elite selection of riders on the 23rd Street climb and then flying away downhill, never to be caught over the final 2 kilometers. This is a race that won’t soon be forgotten – by the riders and by the fans were there in the thousands to witness history.

  1. Great story and pics! At first glance w/ the coblestones i thought this was staged in Europe. Richmond hosted a world class ride with riders to match.
